Licence Agreement

This Licence Agreement governs your use of The Comprehensive Guide to Platform Engineering - 2026 and all future editions (“the Publication”) published by Jordan Dinsdale (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By purchasing or accessing the Publication in any format, you agree to the terms of the licence applicable to your purchase tier.

This publication is licensed, not sold. Purchase confers no ownership of the underlying work. Copyright remains exclusively with Jordan Dinsdale.

Individual Licence

This licence permits one individual to:

  • Read and use the Publication for personal and professional purposes
  • Print one physical copy for personal use
  • Make reasonable extracts for the purpose of review, commentary, or citation

The following are not permitted under this licence:

  • Sharing, forwarding, or distributing the Publication to any other person in any format
  • Uploading to any shared drive, intranet, or platform accessible by others
  • Resale, sub-licensing, or commercial redistribution
  • Incorporation into training datasets, AI systems, or automated processing pipelines

Teams Licence (up to 5 Seats)

This licence permits up to 5 individuals within a single organisation to:

  • Read and use the Publication for internal professional purposes
  • Print one physical copy per licensed seat for personal use
  • Share the Publication directly between licensed seat holders only
  • Make reasonable extracts for internal documentation, review, or citation

The following are not permitted under this licence:

  • Access or use by more than 5 individuals within the organisation
  • Uploading to any shared platform, intranet, or system accessible beyond the licensed seats
  • Resale, sub-licensing, or onward distribution of any kind
  • Use across multiple organisations, subsidiaries, or contractors outside the licensed seats
  • Incorporation into training datasets, AI systems, or automated processing pipelines

General Terms

Ownership— Copyright in this Publication remains exclusively with Jordan Dinsdale. Purchase of a licence confers no ownership of the underlying work.

Formats— Your licence covers the specific format(s) provided at purchase. It does not extend to other formats unless explicitly stated.

No warranty— This Publication is provided as-is. No warranty is given as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Governing law— This licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Enforcement— Breach of these terms constitutes copyright infringement and may result in legal action.
